Andy Cohen to Cohost CNN's New Year's Eve Special With Anderson Cooper

Andy Cohen is Anderson Cooper's new cohost for CNN's New Years Eve Live!
Cohen succeeds Kathy Griffin as Anderson's cohost for the program, which is now in its 11th year.
As for today's big announcement it sounds like both guys are super excited for the new pair:
“Andy is the life of the party wherever he goes, and what bigger party is there than New Year’s Eve? It is going to be a blast!” Cooper said in a press release.
The pair have been friends for more than 25 years, according to the network's press release.
Anderson and Andy recently toured the country with an "AC2 Show."
"We’ve traveled the world together and performed in 30 plus cities with 'AC2' and it’s all led to this one huge night!” Cohen said in a press release about the news.

CNN's annual New Year's Eve special is broadcast from Times Square in New York.
