Arrested Development Is Returning for Season 5
By: Joe Hyer
The Bluth family will return to your TV screen once again... more than 12 years after their show was canceled by FOX.
Netflix announced on Wednesday that Arrested Development's fifth season will premiere in 2018. The show's fourth season officially premiered on Netflix in May 2013. So that means it will have been just about 5 years between the show's fourth and fifth seasons.
Netflix hasn't given us too many details about the show's fifth season, but we do have more good news. The show's core cast is all signed on for the project, according to today's release.
Yes, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, and Alia Shawkat will all be there.

It is not clear, however, how many episodes we can expect or when they'll premiere on Netflix. Arrested Development's fourth season was 15 episodes. There have been rumors that Netflix was planning on removing earlier season's of the show from their streaming service, but they have denied those rumors.
Seasons 1-4 of @arresteddev are NOT leaving! These rumors are so flamboyant and dramatic, they make me want to set myself on fire! https://t.co/Tpm1R1xcl2
