Ed Sheeran made headlines two years ago today when he started his digital detox, but it's how successful he has been that is probably most impressive.

As you may recall, it was on this day (December 13) in 2015 that the "Perfect" singer took a break from his cell phone, email and social media accounts. Sheeran said he wanted to see the world that he missed after "taking life in through a screen," according to a story from PEOPLE.com.

Sheeran returned to the public eye about year later, but he STILL doesn't have a cell phone.

Many can't survive two minutes without their phone, but yet, the GRAMMY award winning Ed Sheeran has lasted two years without his phone.

Ed has said in interviews that he purchased an iPad to send emails back and forth, but finds that life is MUCH less stressful without his cell.

"I don't wake up in the morning and have to answer 50 messages of people asking for stuff. It's just like, I wake up and have a cup of tea," Sheeran told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year
