“Have Mercy!” The third season of Fuller House will premiere on Netflix on September 22.
The date has extra special meaning for the show. The show originally premiered on ABC on September 22, 1987. So this year’s premiere marks the show’s 30th anniversary.
The show’s creator Jeff Franklin acknowledged the anniversary on Instagram by sharing adorable cast photo from 1987:

So this will be an 18-episode season, but the release will actually be split into two parts. The first episodes will premiere on September 22, and the back half of the season will premiere in December.
E! reports that this season will be focused on “summer fun.”
Plus, Jodie Sweetin (who plays Stephanie Tanner) suffered a leg injury this year. Sweetin admitted that there was no way to hide that she couldn’t walk during filming, so we assume it will be written into the show's plot.
