WATCH: Guy Breaks Twitter Record for Chicken Nuggets
Ellen DeGeneres has officially met her ultimate Twitter opponent. High school student Carter Wilkerson now has the most retweeted tweet of all-time. With breaking the record comes a year's worth of free nuggets. On April 5, Wilkerson tweeted the message below to the Wendy's Twitter handle. The account immediately responded saying, 18 million. The tweet soon sent the internet on fire as thousands tweeted about #NuggsforCarter.
Yo @Wendys how many retweets for a year of free chicken nuggets?

Before Wilkerson made his appearance on The Ellen Show to discuss why he shouldn't break the record and beat Ellen's 2014 Academy Awards selfie, he never would have thought his tweet would become a reality.
The 16-year-old may have not hit 18 million, however, he did break the Twitter record going over Ellen's 3,430,242 retweet mark.
It looks like Carter Wilkerson got the help he needed, congratulations!
.@carterjwm is now the most retweeted tweet of all-time. That’s good for the nuggets, and $100k to @DTFA. Consider it done. #nuggsforcarter pic.twitter.com/k6uhsJiP4E
