Staycation Norfolk

Staycation 2

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a nice long weekend ... back to work today, back to blogging and trying to stay warm. It is fr-fr-fr-freeeezing outside. On Saturday - I had a nice little staycation in Downtown Norfolk with my BF. He planned a little getaway - literally, a mile from our house. HA! But it was so nice to get out of our normal routine, check into the new Glass Light Hotel and do some Downtown Norfolk exploring. The hotel is super sexy, lots of amazing art, a fully stocked bar with exciting cocktails and a talented head chef. We checked into our room around 12 Noon, had lunch at Jack Brown's, walked thru the arcade, went back to the room to relax and then headed back out for the evening. We made a stop at the Bistro for cosmos and shrimp, and then to Luce for another cocktail and a caprese salad. We were gonna bar hop some more - but loved the bar at the Glass Light so much - we headed back there and ran into some friends! Sunday morning was spent being lazy, reading the paper and watching some news - and ultimately taking a stroll to The Stock Pot for brunch. Ummmm ... have you ever had a Dutch Baby? It was delicious!

Just a quick 24 hour "getaway" but definitely worth it. I promise next time to take more pics!!!

Have a great day!
